MINEDUC announced National Examinations Results for P6 and S3

KIGALI, 12th September 2023: The Ministry of Education through National Examinations and School Inspection Authority has released the results of Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) and Ordinary Level (O-Level) for the academic year 2022-2023 and awarded the best performers.

The general performance/ pass rate is 91.09% (female at 91.27 and 90.87 for male). The total registered candidates for PLE 203,083 (111,964 female and 91,119 male), those who sat for Candidates who sat for all exams were 201,387 (111,129 female and 90,258 male).

On the other side, the performance rate in ordinary level national examinations is 86.97% (84.41 % female and 90.20% male). The total registered candidates in this category were 131,602 (73,561 female and 58,041 male), those who managed to sit for all exams were 130,934 (73,203 female and 57,731 male).

This year’s awards include laptops, school materials, and one year school fees which will be paid in partnership with Umwalimu SACCO.  

The top performers in Primary Leaving Examinations are the following:

1. Kwizera Regis (EP Espoir de Lavenir/Bugesera)

2. Cyubahiro Herve (Crystal Foundation Academy/Kamonyi)

3. Dushimimana Jooss Bruce (EP High Land/Bugesera)

4. Igiraneza Cyubahiro Benjamin (Ecole Privee Marie Auxiliatrice/Nyarugenge)

5. Iratuzi Sibo Sandra (Keystone School/Musanze).

On the side of Ordinary Level National Examinations, the following outperformed others:

1. Umutoniwase Kelie (FAWE Girls Schools/Gasabo)

2. Ihimbazwe Niyikora Kevine (Lycée Notre Dame de Cîteaux/Nyarugenge)

3. Niyubahwe Uwacu Annick (Maranyundo Girls School/Bugesera)

4. Ganza Rwabuhama Danny Mike (Ecole des Siences Byimana/Ruhango)

5. Munyentwali Kevin (Petit Seminaire St Jean Paul II Gikongoro/Nyamagabe).
