Handover between incoming Ministers and the outgoing Minister of Education

In his remarks after handing over office documents, Dr. Eugene MUTIMURA expressed his gratitude toward the trust of H.E Paul KAGAME to him and congratulated the incoming Ministers for their commitment to server and enhance the quality of education in Rwanda.

Speaking to the audience Dr. Valentine UWAMARIYA acknowledged accomplished work by the outgoing Minister and promised that together with the Ministers of State commit to work even harder for there is a lot to anticipated from them. “The outgoing Minister and his team which I was also part of, done a lot. With this background, I believe that we have no excuse, or obstacle that stops us from taking the education sector to another higher level.” She said

Mr. Gaspard Twagirayezu assumed the working documents as Minister of State in charge of Primary and Secondary Education replacing Dr. Isaac Munyakazi, while Claudette Irere, the Minister of State in charge of ICT and TVET Education believes that her ICT experience will contribute much in advancing ICT in education and also TVET education.

Dr. Valantine UWAMARIYA, who has been appointed Minister of Education, replaces Dr Mutimura Eugène, she was the Deputy Director of Rwanda Polytechnic for Academic Affairs, Development and Research, in 2018, where she was previously a lecturer at the University of Rwanda. She has been very active in teaching and research sectors in University for 18 years.
