Minister of State Dr. Isaac MUNYAKAZI exhorts students to make the right choice for their future career

Awardees challenged to work to inspire many other fellow youth through job creation

On Wednesday 09 /05/2019, the Minister of State Dr. Isaac MUNYAKAZI met with Senior three students from Groupe Scolaire Saint André /Nyamirambo and Lycée de Kigali.

The meeting with took place in Lycée de Kigali - a school located in Nyarugenge district, Kigali City- aimed at raising career guidance awareness among these students, explore their potential, and mobilize them to join the TTCs (Teacher Training Colleges).

In his address to the audience, the Minister of State commended the teachers for their contribution to the development of the country.

“The Government of Rwanda recognizes your tireless efforts and will always do whatever possible to uplift your welfare, “he said.

 While advising the students on their subject related choices, the Minister of State said “Rwanda is in the transformation process towards to knowledge based economy country, and that can only be achieved through the right choices you make today, and you will never regret.” he said

 “Remember that your future lies in your hands, and it will be determined by the choice you make today “he added.

The Minister of State told the students of Groupe Scolaire Saint André /Nyamirambo and Lycée de Kigali that the Government of Rwanda has decided to prioritise the teaching career and called upon them to consider embracing subjects that lead to that career .

Teaching career is one of the world’s most rewarding professions. It is a way to impact knowledge and foster the success of the next generation, and on the other hand, it also impacts the economy of the country in next generations, he said.

  “Teaching Career is the foundation of everything, every successful person in this country, be it doctor, engineer, army officer…etc. has benefited much from a teacher.” MoS MUNYAKAZI emphasized.
