The Governement relies on you to fight Genocide ideology among children “Minister of State Dr.Isaac MUNYAKAZI tells parents

Kigali: The Minister of State in Charge of Primary and Secondary Education  Dr.Isaac MUNYAKAZI joined the Centre Culturel Islamique /ESSI  Nyamirambo  in ending a commemoration week by remembering its former staff and students killed in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi .

The event started with the laying of wreaths at a memorial plaque built at the entrance of the school premises.

In his address to the participants, Dr.MUNYAKAZI called upon parents to instill good values and attitudes in their children . “Parents have a great role to play when it comes to preparing the future of our children, well-bred children, with rwandan values will build the Rwanda we want.”

He added that the meaning of “Genocide Never Again” would be lost if children were not shaped at home.

The headteacher of the school Mr Habakubaho Issa said that from the 06 June 2019, the school started a commemoration week where school administrators embarked on activities to raise the awareness of students about the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi  and make them realise their role in fighting the Genocide ideology.

Centre Culturel Islamique / ESSI  Nyamirambo is a Secondary School located in Nyarugenge district , Kigali City.
